The Brief
A very small garden, overlooked from the road,
needed spicing up to meet the clients exciting tastes.
The Solution
First, the existing waterlogged lawn was removed, and drainage improved.
Two raised beds were cast out of concrete and painted black.
These beds formed the main structure of the garden, and helped create
clean contemporary lines.
Linking these two beds is a paved area combining Indian sandstone, granite sets, and pebbles. The way these materials were used together helped accentuate the clean lines of the beds.
The most striking structures in the garden are the pink towers. These were designed and built by ourselves. They bring height into the garden, and most importantly, a sense of fun. At night they are lit from within to create a warm glow and soft shadows.
